Yes. The Ballarat Winter Festival has a range of events and activities to suit all ages. Please check event details for any age restrictions.
No. Tickets are available to purchase from each event and activity, however due to popularity of events it is recommended that you do book your ticket in advance to avoid disappointment.
Events and activities will proceed in wet weather unless the conditions are extreme and considered unsafe. If for safety reasons an event or activity is cancelled, customers will be notified via email. Refer to your ticket for full terms and conditions.
Dress warmly. As many of the events and activities are outside we recommend that you rug up in coats, beanies and even gloves.

Ballarat is located one hour and 15 minutes west of Melbourne.
Driving -Take the 110km journey along the Western Freeway.
Train - Direct from Melbourne’s Southern Cross station, swipe your Myki to arrive in less than 90 minutes on the direct V/Line train at the 19th century-built Railway station right in the centre of town.
Airport - The road trip from Tullamarine or Avalon airports to Ballarat takes about one hour. Options to get you here direct from the airport include hiring a car, or booking the Airport Shuttlebus which departs from Tullamarine.
